Week One at ParallelTech

A run through of a (first) week in the life of a founding engineer at ParallelTech.

Day one: I was nervous. New codebase, new team, new everything. But within the first hour, I knew I'd made the right decision.

Monday - Getting Set Up

Access to everything on day one. No waiting for permissions. The documentation was actually good. Like, really good.

Tuesday - First Contribution

By Tuesday afternoon, I had my first pull request merged. It felt amazing. The code review was kind and thorough.

Friday - Ship Day

We shipped a feature that had been in development for two weeks. High fives all around.

Week one done. Many more to come. If this is week one, I can't wait for year one.
